…on the Total Solar Eclipse almost nobody will see

The dragon hole will soon close. All twists and turns to our story will have plopped us out somewhere new, but not before we confront the Total Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius coming to a sky very far away from you. Not many will get to see this eclipse. It’s way down under, grazing parts of Antarctica, yet many will see it partially, like our brothers and sisters in South Africa who are now banned from visiting us. A strange plot twist. A familiar story, yet somehow novel. Now, even though we won’t be able to see this dragon devour the Sun, we will still feel it-no matter how subtle the feel.

It occurs at 12º22' Sag at 7:42 am UT. It will be a midnight sun for those of you residing in my current timezone (MST), meaning: many of us will be sleeping. I’ve captured a handful of eclipse dreams since I’ve been paying attention. They are eventful, to say the least. It’s wise to have an idea of where it falls in your chart and to have salt sprinkled all around your bed with a talismanic cross above your head (we can never be too careful; kidding, of course).

When looking deeper into the wyrd light of this eclipse you notice that Mercury is involved. Recently cazimi, zipping at top speed on the other side of the Sun, our hidden messenger is also, naturally, in Sag, his least favorite place to be. It’s not to say Mercury in Sag is a bad placement, it’s just that he tires of the semantics. He knows there is only One Mind, One Love, One People, yet when he frequents this territory it splits into ten thousand things, and the blood historically begins to spill. We think of Mars or Pluto when it comes to the horrors of the world, yet when you really sit with it, it is Sagittarius that has much to do with our conflicts.

What, you don’t believe me?

I can’t believe what you believe!

I can’t believe this

If you don’t believe what I believe, then you must be racist

You must be silenced

My god is the true god and I shall kill to prove my point

…you get the idea

And so we sit on the precipice of our exit from this dragon hole, with Mercury racing for the Goddess in the West. He is trying to tell her something before she stations retrograde with Pluto’s cold and powerful hand around her. There is a message he’s trying to get to us as well. I’m certain it has something to do with the value of free minds, and how they are the only company worth having. We must surround ourselves with those who are willing to listen, who are willing to entertain our ideas, who are filled with good ideas-not from their feeds, but from their own explorations. And we must try to be the same for them.

May it be so.

Enjoy the eclipse
