Inflated & Confused
…On the Jupiter/Neptune conjunction and Venus in Pisces
“When we deem our social destiny entirely self-directed and our personal lives self-made, we lose any sense of participating in a collective myth larger than ourselves.”
― Neal Howe
Yesterday, as the two myth makers floated into their once in every 13-year conjunction (24º Pisces), I watched closely for signs and signals. Aside from vivid dreams and entertaining the Poetics of Imagination Graduate Program at Schumacher College, I couldn’t escape the inflation narrative. It was everywhere. It is everywhere. The new CPI numbers came out, and they are telling us it’s at 8.5%, the highest since 1981. In reality, it is much higher, probably closer to 17% according to Willy Woo, an on-chain analyst for BTC. And what has caused this asinine hidden tax on all of us? Putin, of course!? No. Unfortunately, even though scapegoats and playing victim are successful Piscean tricks in the minds of many, they don’t work on those with discerning ones. The reason we are watching our money drain away faster than the public trust has little to do with Putin’s evil moves, and everything to do with irresponsible monetary policy.
When we contemplate money, Jupiter and Neptune aren’t the first planets to come to mind, but Venus usually is. Having just entered the same sea as the two Lords of this terrain, it is Venus who may be our morning star journalist on this subject. All three planets are strongly placed. Jupiter and Neptune domicile, Venus exalted. We’d expect some beautiful waves carrying the good news to our shores, yet this doesn’t seem to be the case. The fears most people are feeling at the moment around how they are going to afford to live in this inflationary environment are terrifying and real. The overwhelm around what to do is suffocating. The anger needs to be directed somewhere, and so the clever ‘captains’ bring the smoke and mirrors, point out a scapegoat, play victim, pretend to be saviors, and then the people’s arrows are lit, beginning to fire through the psychic landscape at the false target. It’s Piscean dark arts.
I am no economist, yet I listen to some of the smartest ones on the subject, and they all say the same thing, regardless of their party affiliation: this is not caused by Putin. In no way am I-or they- condoning his actions in Ukraine, nor am I saying the war doesn’t have some impact, but this story has been playing out for some time. They call it quantitative easing. It’s the FED’s ability to print money when ‘needed.’ For example, at the beginning of the pandemic, they put the money printer into hyperdrive, and two years later, after printing around 8 trillion dollars, nearly 40% of all circulating supply, and we wonder why the economy is a tad shaky. When you devalue the currency, inflation is inevitable, and when inflation gets worse when all else fails, they take us to war. It’s the oldest story in the book. This is how empires fall. It’s how Rome fell at the beginning of this Piscean Age.
So, this is what Jupiter and Neptune were showing me. As I read the mainstream news and felt a part of myself drowning, I realized, once again, just how unbelievably successful they are at pushing false narratives, creating scapegoats, and pretending everything is going to work out just fine. I’m not so sure. But, thank the gods there is a solution in our midst: Bitcoin.
There was a headline I saw in the New York Post which read:
Bitcoin fans are psychopaths who don’t care about anyone, study shows
Enter the overused Gandhi quote:
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”
…the fight is obvious. It’s been ongoing for at least three years. And as people wake up and educate themselves on the subject, the solution is clear. We are closer than ever to winning. Bitcoin has been with us for 13 years. It’s also been 13 years since Jupiter and Neptune have been together, cooking up a new cycle. Coincidence? I think not.
Bitcoin is sound money. It cannot be printed into infinity. It has a fixed supply of 21 million. No government can debase it, control it, or turn it off. On average, it appreciates in value against the inflating dollar 150% per year. So, if we take their word for it, and inflation really is at 8.5%, then you are still saving over 140% per year, on average. Yes, bitcoin and crypto are volatile. It’s how all emerging technology is. But if you are scared of inflation and looking for options on what to do, this decentralized immutable ledger is always there for you.
As Howe mentioned in the quote up top, we completely lose touch with our shared destiny when we fail to have a collective myth to be a part of. Bitcoin is a story that can fill that void. It has for millions already. The global community storing their value in the most secure computer network this world has ever seen has created a collective hope like nothing I have ever seen. It conjures up the hopes and dreams found within a Jupiter/Neptune cycle. It heals trust. And so, If you are in already, you know; If you are on the fringe, you suspect it to be true; And if you are a hater, you may need better sources. Jupiter and Neptune are myth creators and are clearly pointing out the inflation hedge we all need. All fiat goes to zero. Don’t be left holding their bags.
