Our Faceless Hero
On Mercury, Rahu, and the hidden face of Bitcoin
In 2008, just as the “non-planet” Pluto was easing his way into Capricorn, one of the worst economic disasters began to spread around the globe from the central point of the cancer which was Lehman Brothers and their subprime mortgage scam. It affected millions of people, destroying countless lives in the process. It exposed the toxicity within the system, yet at the time, it seemed as if nothing was fixed. Upon closer examination though, amongst the rubble and the webs of lies we find a white paper, on which the idea for Bitcoin was proposed by an elusive Satoshi Nakamoto. By January of the next year, the first Bitcoin was mined. Satoshi’s vision was to create a decentralized, peer to peer monetary network with a fixed supply of 21 million. Today, just one Jupiter orbit later, with Pluto now in the last stages of his time reconfiguring our world according to Capricorn, Bitcoin, in the minds of many, is our only hope. I tend to agree.
Like everything that comes to be, there is a chart that can be cast. In the case of Bitcoin, the moment many of us choose is Jan. 3rd, 2009 @ 6:15pm UT in London. It’s an 8º Leo chart with the Nodes of the Moon wrapped around the angles. It was when the first Bitcoin was mined. Ever since the network has only been growing exponentially. There are many elements of the Bitcoin chart that are interesting to note, but it’s the Rahu/Mercury conjunction in Aquarius that tells the story best.
Wherever Rahu (North Node) falls in any chart, you discover the story wanting to be told. The Aquarian tale for Bitcoin is clearly one of technological innovation, but also has surprising humanitarian implications and invites in the opportunity for existing in a world without any central point of failure. Bitcoin cannot be destroyed. No government, no single player can stop the network from ticking on. An asteroid could do it, but even then, we’d have much more serious issues to deal with. Also, with Mercury in close proximity to Rahu, we know magic is a part of this story. He allows us to communicate and transact instantly all over the world without a third parties consent. It’s a configuration which intimates at free and open channels of exchange that has also birthed ten thousand other ideas to live on the blockchain. There would be no Ethereum, no Cardano, no DOGE without Bitcoin. This nodal story from Leo/Aquarius speaks of a benevolent king who expects nothing in return. A healthy kingdom led by a benevolent ruler, created by a faceless programmer.
Soon, Mercury will station direct (10º Libra; Oct. 18th). When he does, it will create a perfect trine to the Bitcoin Rahu at 10º Aquarius. The idea? Another bullish gust of wind into the sails on its way to the moon. Will we finally get an approval for an ETF? Will we see another country adopt Bitcoin as legal tender? Will it break all time highs once again? Whatever it will be, most importantly, it will be another chance for all of us to thank god (Mercury in this instance) for Bitcoin.
