.: The Mother of Love :.
O Evening Star, bringing everything
that dawn’s first glimmer scattered far and wide –
you bring the sheep, you bring the goat,
you bring the child back to the mother.

Venus is on the verge of changing everything.
It seems extreme, yet when seen through the eyes of the Goddess it’s apparent much does change when her cycle resets. It may have something to do with literally everything we love and are connected to relates to her. She is the one who allows us to experience beauty. She is the one who allows us to fall in love. Her own son, Eros, was once said to be the arrow point of it all. It is Venus who is responsible for so many of our reasons to keep on living. We must never forget it.
Currently, she is that luscious light in the West you can pray to around dusk. She’s been there since last Summer and will disappear before this Summer begins. The Goddess is nearing the end of her cycle, one that began in Scorpio in the Fall of 2018 and readying herself for what’s to come in Gemini. It is a welcome transition for many.
This process always begins in the evening sky when she stations retrograde (May 13th) and ends in the morning sky when she stations direct (June 25th). It is in these final stages of her cycle when the themes from the beginning emerge like specters from the shadows of our hearts past. Old lovers commonly appear. It can also be dear old friends. They appear to hold up a mirror in front of us, showing how far we have come. It can also be an opportunity for reconciliation if both parties are evolved enough to engage the tattered pages of our histories. There can be tricky waters to navigate around repeating old stories as well. So getting clear about what was brought up in the Fall of 2018 and how we have grown through those venomous experiences (venom is also medicine). Something has changed in all of us. New skin is all around us, we just need the right eyes to see it. Looking at where early Scorpio is in your chart will aid in your detective work here.
As mentioned, the next cycle begins in Gemini (June 3rd). This star point can simply be understood by the seasonality of the two signs we’ve so far discussed. The Scorpio star point/cycle relates to fallen leaves, celebrations of the dead, and preparation for the long night; The Gemini star point/cycle is more of the new leaves, fragrant blossoms, and excited ideas which buzz our way to pollinate our own ones. It is a difference between life and death as the focal point. And these are just 2 of the 5 star points which compose the golden geometry of her cycle. 5 retrogrades every 8 years (Fibonacci numbers: ie. Beauty; Much more on this in the class I taught last month; LINK below).
Without writing ten thousand more words on the subject, here is a suggestion of what you can do with this information:
* Watch the sunset tonight and witness how Venus takes over the sky
* Tell her how beautiful she is; Try to make her blush
* Thank her for all the beauty and love she has ever brought into your life
* Then politely ask for assistance in contemplating the themes of this Scorpio cycle ending; Maybe she will show you something you are still missing
* Forgive yourself
* Forgive those involved
* Become curious about what the Gemini journey will bring
* Only ask questions that match the praise and offerings you have given
* Now, live your life. Heart forward. And never forget that conversation actually did happen. And it can happen again…
Praise Venus!
May she make you feel like you are wrapped up like a child in the butterfly wings of the Mother, reminding you that anything is possible.
