.: The New Dragon Breed :.
There is a new dragon in town.
As you may know, the Nodes of the Moon also have names: Rahu and Ketu (North and South Nodes). A gift from India. Understanding the nodal axis in this way is rich and endlessly mythic. It implies there is a dragon in all of us, one that protects all of our stories and challenges us constantly in working with them properly. And in the sky, they are constantly on the move in retrograde motion, gobbling up the Sun and Moon every chance they get (every 6 months). Currently, they are transitioning from Cancer/Capricorn into Gemini/Sagittarius.
* If you use True Node, this already happened in early May; If you use Mean Node like myself, it will occur in early June. The difference? True accounts for their occasional directional change of motion and Mean averages out their retrograde motion over time. They are never more than 2.5 degrees different. Though this can be a big deal if your Nodes change signs in your natal chart between them. How to know which to use? Test it with once in a lifetime transits throughout your life. Observe. Ask questions. The dragon will reveal which is true for you.
Now, what does this sign change mean for the world? If we consider the great teaching of the Cancer/Capricorn Nodes to be dealing with our dragon at home with the worldwide “stay at home” order (Cancer) while our worldly identities dripped out the dragons bottom (Capricorn), then we can wonder how these mutable signs are going to change our quest. There are two manifestations I’ve already been observing clearly, which are likely going to intensify in the next 18 months.
1. Facts
…that is: Where are you getting your information from? With the South Node in Sag we can see some of the wildest theories and beliefs emanating from the stagnant coils of Ketu (South Node). When you hear these, always be suspicious and ask where they are getting their information from. Then ask more questions still. Rahu (North Node) in Gemini craves credible information. The world is starved for it these days. So, who can we trust? Your own hearts compass is a good place to begin.
2. Errands
…Gemini relates to the 3rd House, a space occupied by all our short trips and errands. Now, Gemini isn’t specific to this, but I feel this is definitely a theme to track. Not only in our paranoid grocery runs but also in how we get around. What will happen with Uber? Rent-a-scooter culture? Carpools? Also, with Ketu being in Sag, we will continually watch international travel and our scatterling spirits wash down that scaly drain. Not ideal for those with gypsy blood.
As with all ingresses, it’s important to watch the themes cresting within the collective current. The clearest so far is the ideological war around how we proceed. It’s the Big Question and the Big Debate. According to what I’ve been told by this dragon already: Don’t think for a second this is over yet. Proceed with caution.
Then, there are Eclipses. When the dragon changes signs, it always begins roughly an 18-month chapter of Eclipses occurring around the new signs (Gemini/Sag). There will be three of them this Summer alone. What to expect? Chaos and change. Eclipses always change the story. Sometimes easy, sometimes not, they always bring us closer to that treasure the dragon protects. When were the last ones? The end of 2019! Right when this all began….
So find Gemini/Sagittarius in your chart. What planets do you have there? Those houses and those planets have a visitor. And remember this: You cannot slay a dragon. Your energy is better spent trying to figure out what kind of tea it likes. Once you learn this, you may learn its secrets.
Praise Rahu!
Praise Ketu!
May you go easy on those who genuinely want to know your true name.
I pray you can help us find ourselves in our stories
I know you know best
Keep it wyrd,
Adam
