(On the Venus Star Point in Aries)

Art: Sekhmet from AC Origins

In late October of 2010, when Venus was tiptoeing around serpents in a dimly lit underworld forming her Scorpio Star Point, she appeared to me in a dream. She drew a golden triangle in front of my chest and explained that the base of the triangle represents the need for a place, the next leg is the need of community, and the final leg the need of other. When all three are met, the triangle is complete, radiant, and full of power. She then placed it in my chest. When I awoke, my life changed forever through a series of hard choices I had to make in order to activate this Triangle of Needs.

In the next 24 hours, Venus is doing something similar. She is forming another Star Point in a Mars-ruled sign, this time Aries. It’s also a different kind of conjunction. Instead of her being between Earth and Sun, she is on the other side of our star. It’s called the Exterior Conjunction (or Superior). It can be seen as the midpoint of her synodic cycle which began in Gemini back in June of 2020. Also, it connects auspiciously with all other Aries Star Points in the past, for instance, the most recent in March of 2017 or before that in March of 2013. This information is helpful because it helps us to triangulate the coordinates of how the Goddess is weaving our heartstrings into the tapestry of our long and arduous journey from the head into the heart. These threads are red ones.

There’s a saying from the Saga of Jomsvikings that says, “Better to die with honor than live with shame.” It speaks to the spirit of this Star Point. Whatever our battle is, we must face it head-on. If we run from it, we will tire fast and die in cowardice. Wherever 5º50' of Aries is in your chart is where this takes place. It is a space to find allies in battle wise Gods and Goddesses, soldiers returned from war, addicts in recovery, and those rising swiftly in post-traumatic growth. It is a Star Point that should get your heart racing, feeling the impulse to flee the battle, but you must not. The only way to Valhalla is to die with honor on the battlefield.

Now, I do understand the hyperbole here, yet it is distilled straight from the source. She appeared in a similar manner to me just last night as she did back in 2010, this time on a battlefield. I felt fear like I’ve never felt in my waking life. My sword didn’t seem sharp enough, I had no shield nor armor, my tribe small in number, the “enemy” overwhelmed us, yet there she was, by my side, hand on my shoulder, reminding me of what happens if I turn to run away. When I decided to fight, I woke up.

So the question is: What must we face head-on, despite the odds or the chance of defeat. What we are fighting for is our Triangle of Needs to be activated. Get clear on what they are and never stop fighting for them.

Praise Venus (or Sekhmet in this case)

Enjoy
